Gingerbread Syrup
INGREDIENTS
3/4 cups brown sugar
3 tbs maple syrup or molasses
1 inch or tablespoon of sliced fresh ginger
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspon ground cinammon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1 cup water
1 tsp vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine all ingredients (except vanilla) into a saucepan.
Bring to a soft boil. Reduce immediately and simmer uncovered for about 10 minutes.
Let the mixture cool. Add the vanilla extract.
Strain into your syrup container.
Use in your coffee or festive holiday mocktails!
